Aether Story F.A.Q.

Please submit your questions as replies to this post and I will answer them all here in this main post. Thank you.

Q: How often are major updates released?
A: The goal is to release a new Alpha version at least once a quarter, but if we can swing it once a month.

Q: When will the next Alpha be released?
A: This is extremely hard to estimate. Each Alpha we plan to add a core feature (quests, items, battle, professions, dungeons, etc), and a couple new large areas for you to explore, each with a quest or two added.
Currently at the time of writing this FAQ we are working hard on Alpha 4, which is added battle: battle is such a complex feature that it is taking longer than a typical Alpha release cycle.

Q: Can I become mod / game master?
A: My answer to this is that you don't ask to become a mod or game master. We will offer you the position. To be offered mod and game master you need to be an active member of the community, attending dev streams, and being involved in Alpha tests.

Q: How can I help with the development of the game?
A: Thank you for wanting to help make the game awesome.  You may get in touch with thephantom via discord and let him know what skills you would like to contribute towards the project and any examples of your work.

Q: Is there a bank or a place to store items?
A: Currently there is not, but it is a planned feature.  At this point in the Alpha you may sell all your items to free up inventory space. However, you may want to keep your Teleport Scrolls, the Illegible ones, if identified by Kharl, can lead to some super rare chests!

I have some questions for you!

1) When will Alpha 4 be released?

2) how often are major updates released?

3) Can I volunteer to be an in game player mod (like old runescape) / forum moderator, or help with game or community development progress in some way after I've donated already?
