Hey overthere, take a look at this idea don't be shy... no please don't be shy. okay okay i stop fooling around.
My idea is to make cooking more fun than clicking 2 buttons to craft. however this also might be a pain to code & is probably a suggestion for the far future of the game.
The idea is basically making the recipes hidden until the player finds them or an NPC teach them to him/her, a discovery game.
so the player will be able to throw items into the cooking slots & ta-da he gets something depending on what ingredients he used. if there's no recipe possible with the ingredients used he gets a suspicious stew that will be litterally "junk" or "poisonous".
Bonuses are applied on the food if a specific ingredient (type locked) that boosts a specific stat (needs stat buffs implementing)
This suggestion & idea system are just a seed. but the possibilities that it could lead to are amazing.
